Methow Valley

This valley is an eight hour drive from Salem. We went up with the Binghams, friends from church, and had a great time over Martin Luther King weekend. The valley has over 200 km of groomed cross country ski trails. It hadn't snowed much, but the grooming makes the ice soft and nice for skiing. Doug and I did 10km each of two days and I got Mom even to say that she enjoyed the snowshoeing and the skiing! We also enjoyed the relaxation, the hot tub, the food and the scenery. I think we'll plan on doing it again next year. Anyone interested in joining us?

Yes! I'm interested in joining you guys! That looks like so much fun, tiring, but fun. I've never cross-country skied before or snow-shoed before. One of these days we'll be able to join in the fun --- hopefully we can make it out to Oregon sometime this year.

How do I access your past talks and lectures? You used to have them on the old Heder Herald.
