Starting our Mission with a Bang

This was the week I was supposed to start our mission section on the Heder Hearld.  Just to make things exciting I decided to start it off with a bang.  I didn't expect it to be quite so literal..... but there you have it.  Friday was a day off school and I was excited to do something fun with the grandkids:  Clara and Max to be exact.  We decided a movie and treats would be the perfect adventure.  I had promised Max an adventure.  Boy did he get an adventure.  Just a 1/2 mile from the theater I lost control of the car (I can't remember what happened - I must have fallen asleep for all of a second, I just don't know) and veered off into the parking lane and hit a parked car.  I was going slowly, but the impact must have been at just a perfect angle and it flipped my car over.  We all had our seat belts on and the airbags all engaged.  Unbelievably all three of us were able to get out of the car with out even messing up our hair or getting our clothes dirty.  The car we hit was parked and no one at all was hurt.  I still can't believe it.  But have I ever been shaken up.  I think someone was trying to send us a message, but what that was I have no idea.  Some possibilities:  1 - Satan really doesn't want us to go and was trying to kill me off (but our guardian angels saved us).  2- Heavenly Father was just trying to make our lives simpler by getting the car trashed so we didn't have to worry about selling it.  3 - Heavenly Father was trying to send us a message that I shouldn't be driving - especially not in Mexico.  4 - The existentialist view - it was simply a random event, we were just really lucky and be sure to have great auto insurance.   You can all send your own theories.  I'm sure all my kids would go with #3 - they have always thought I was a terrible driver.  All I know right now is that I'm ineffably grateful for the fact that no one was hurt.  That was a miracle. *For those of you who don't know the word "ineffable" just ask Jon or Dan.  They taught it to me when they were in High School.  I love you all and cannot express just how much an event like this drives that fact home.  Please all be careful and don't drive like me!!!  Please don't take the above 4 scenarios seriously - I was just being silly.
