Dear family,
thank you for the letter Dad and the email. I really wish i could watch that monster house trailer. Well I'm holding back the tears since i just saw that link on your new blog about TASHA. Man I hadn't heard anything until I saw the 2 dates by the picture of her and I just got really sad. I was so worried last year that she wouldn't last during my mission. well I'm just reflecting on her today so. . . . enough of that. I hope Ginny is doing fine. Well I went to the temple last monday and it was great. It's a small temple here in Snowflake but very beautiful inside and very small. Well dad you mentioned that you want me to tell the mission president about you coming to mesa at the end but hey your gonna have more luck than me. President watson is very strict on parents visiting and extra things like that. He is understanding though so call him in the evening and tell him the why and talk to him about it and plead to heavenly father before you call him, ha ha I'll ask him about it but you call him sometime in these next 2 weeks and I'll ask him after. I can't believe you got released as WML that makes me sad too. I wanted to be a part of the missionary work more in the ward when i get back(well, I still can ) Well we did find a new investigator this week. Her name is stevee and her fiance's name is steve and he's a less active wanting to get back. Theyre getting married this saturday so at least we don't have to deal with them living together!!!!!! Yay!! He's had an interesting life and really has been stabbed twice, been held at gunpoint , and he's on recovery for drugs but he's a firecracker and is very exciting so that's cool. Well i don't know if i mentioned about a kid named lance. He was baptized 2 weeks before i got here and is the most excited kid in the world. he was counting down his days from 552 to when he could get baptized because he wasn't eighteen yet and his parents are totally anti!!! He has the most amazing story though about how his step dad was abusive, didn't let him eat at his home, burned his first copy of the Book of Mormon and i could go on forever. lance escaped the night he turned 18 at the stroke of midnight
and went to a members home. 2 weeks later he was baptized. Now we go with him on splits 2 times a week and he counts down the days to his mission. I could go forever talking about his story but I'll tell you after the mission. I also helped that lady martha Gilbert the one who took her family and left colorado city to Snowflake and then a year later joined the church with 2 of her children. She has really an amazing story as well. She hasn't gone to the temple yet so we're definteley getting her pumped up to go and she's excited. Well I gotta go now but Dad you asked me if the mission has helped me in some of those skills that i have never been great at. Well Most of all what i've developed are the spirtual gifts that i was promised help with in my patriarchal blessing specifically the gift of kindness, wisdom, and discernment which relating to my not so good skills will help me immensly overcome those. Organization has defintely improved but anyway like you said We'll talk more about that after the mission. For now i'll see all of you later and keep the faith and keep me informed. Bye - Elder Heder
