Yesterday morning Mom was up early to go to school. She noticed that Tasha had wet on our bedroom floor. It appeared that she was having a lot of pain over the last few days. It was really hard for her to get up and we often had to help her up. Once she was up she would be hyper- just pacing around constantly. Mom had taken her for a walk last Sunday morning and she seem to do fine once she was up and going. Anyway, Mom let her outside to go potty. Darcy, our vet friend came over just then with a steroid shot for Tasha and when Mom went to get her in, she couldn't be found. I went all over the property and couldn't find her. The vet felt that she probably went off to be by herself to die. We left food our for her on the back porch, the garage door open, the lights on all night, but she has not returned to the house now in 48 hours.
She has been a wonderful friend for all of us. I don't have the time right now, but I'll make a comment to this blog with my memories of Tasha. I'd like you to all do the same. We anticipate that she'll come forth in the first resurrection and join with our family (Mom anyway) for the eternities.
