Not to be outdone by all the kids and grandkids, Mom and I donned our costumes and headed to the Oregon Coast for a weekend of spooky stuff. We took long walks ignoring our aches and pains, sent the ladies to Cannon Beach with a credit card, ate oysters (cooked and raw), tried out a new restaurant called Pirate's Cove, tramped through antique shops, watched a movie picked out by Bill McKinley and ate out at another untried reataurant in Cannon Beach. You know, all the scary Halloween stuff! In other words, a really, boring, non-scary time compared to what our kids were doing in Utah, California and Banks. Here is the picture of us in our costumes. Note the unshaven face. Again, we want to thank all of you (including Mary and Olivia) for the great blogs. I'm yet to finish my political musings. Stay tune for more boredom from Dad. Another piece of banana chocolate cake. Dad

Our Halloween

Boring Halloween costumes! I say you should have put the witch picture of Helen on here. She looked so awesome in that outfit.
I DO read your blog, even if I don't comment on every post. I subscribe to all the blogs I read in my google reader. It lets me know when someone has updated their blog (just like when I get an email). However, because your blog is private, it won't tell me yours is updated, so I have to check in from time to time. There is a section under the settings where you can add our email addresses and it will email whoever you want, when you have put up a new post.
That is a nice picture of you and Helen.
Yes Dad I also read your blog and now I'm commenting on the post. I enjoy your posts very much
You should realy give yourself much more credit than you do. You are not that boring (only a little)...Just kidding! You give our family much needed balance.
I read your blog too, but I"m a bad blogger in general so I can't always be held accountable for not commenting. But honestly, and Adam can vouch for this, I wrote a HUGE retort to your political post--which got erased, and I was so mad, I didn't write it again- well that and the fact that I didn't have time to write it again. So I do read it- and it's AWESOME- there's the compliment you're fishing for... ;)
